Imagine yourself climbing up a narrow, creaky ladder in a dark warehouse. The stacks of empty plastic containers and old metal tins surround you as you make your ascent up into darkness. As you reach the second floor, you are greeted by more recycled materials and dusty floors that groan at every step you take.
Student Action, Student Voices Concern, Writing Competition
Concern’s Global Writing Competition gives people an opportunity to let us know, in a creative and engaging way, their thoughts on a wide range of development issues.
This year, entrants to the writing competition were asked to imagine this scenario: “The year is 2050 and the population of the world has surpassed 10 billion people. You have been asked to write a 1,000 word chapter for the 2050 State of the Developing World Report.”
