In many cases, the opportunity to make money is a far more attractive option than gaining an education. Consequently, millions of children have no choice but to give up school in order to help their family survive.

June 12, 2010 is World Day Against Child Labor. Do you know how many children worldwide are being forced to work instead of or on top of going to school? Fourteen percent (14%) of all children in the world are child laborers – that’s 1 in 7 children! Half of all working children also attend school.
