Sinead Naughton is a high school World History teacher and a Concern supporter and friend for many years! She has been an active GCC teacher, spear-heading a successful Global Concerns club at St. Vincent Ferrer for several years, and Concern supporter, rallying one of the largest teams to fund raise for Concern’s Spring Run each year.

Michael Beil is an English teacher at St. Vincent Ferrer High School, where he has taught for the last 10 years. He is also the teacher moderator for the Drama Club and the Global Concerns Club at SVF as well as a published author for young readers. We decided to interview Mr. Beil to find out more about his writing and being a globally concerned teacher!

Fall Open House for Educators

Educators line up in order of their global school temperature

Global Concerns Classroom partnered with Mercy Corps’ Action Center to End World Hunger on October 26, 2009 to host a Global Learning Open House for Educators.

About 35 educators from the New York City area including some from Connecticut and New Jersey came to the Action Center at Battery Park City to dialogue and share their experiences engaging youth in global education.
