Happy International Youth Day! Here’s to celebrating you – the readers of the Global Concerns Classroom Blog. From August 15th-21st, young people from every corner of the globe will gather in Madrid, Spain to raise awareness about the cultural and legal issues that affect their generation. Some of these issues include education, labor, hunger and poverty, health, drug abuse, HIV/AIDS, and conflict.

August 12th is International Youth Day and I can’t think of a better example of a young global leader than Concern’s own “Plumpy’nut champion”, Elizabeth Stoltz. We first met Elizabeth a few years ago when she contacted us about fundraising for Concern’s child survival programs which pioneered the use of Plumpy’nut as an innovative solution to tackle malnutrition in children under five.
